This Privacy Policy explains how Amigo Roofing & Contracting, LLC ("Amigo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website or talk with our online assistant. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us through the website or chat with our assistant, you may share your name, phone number, email address, the address or type of building you need work on, details about your project, your preferred times for a visit, and anything else you choose to tell us in a message.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site we may collect your general location at the country level, your browser and device type, the page that referred you, and the pages you view. Our chat tool also stores a short conversation identifier in your browser so a single chat stays connected from one message to the next.
Our online assistant
Our website assistant, "Taylor," is an automated tool powered by a third-party AI provider. It can chat by text and by voice. What you tell Taylor is used to answer your questions, capture your request, and help schedule a roof inspection visit. Please keep these points in mind:
- Voice audio is processed in real time to understand and respond to you. It is not stored by us.
- If you chat in a language other than English, an English translation of the conversation may be created so our team can read and follow up on it.
- A written transcript of your conversation may be sent to our team by email and kept with our records so we can serve you well.
- Please do not share sensitive information such as financial account numbers or government ID numbers in the chat.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your questions and requests.
- Prepare estimates and schedule roof inspection visits.
- Perform the work you ask us to do and keep records of it.
- Improve our website, our assistant, and the service we provide.
- Meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our website and our business, and only so they can perform that work for us. These include our website hosting and database provider, the AI provider that powers our assistant and its translation feature, our email delivery provider, our email and calendar provider, and, for visitors who arrive from one of our Google ads, Google (see Cookies and browser storage below). We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect the safety or rights of people or property, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the text message box on our request form, or text our business line first, we may send you text messages about your request, appointments, job updates and, after the job, a request for a review. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop the messages, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of our service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Cookies and browser storage
We keep this light. Our chat tool saves a conversation identifier in your browser's session storage so the chat works correctly, and it clears when you close the tab. When you arrive from one of our ads or a tagged link, your browser also remembers that link's tags (for example which ad you clicked) for up to 90 days in its local storage, not in a cookie, so that if you send us a request we can tell which advertising works. We count page visits without cookies and without storing your IP address. Our hosting provider may set essential cookies that keep the site secure and running.
If you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, our pages also load Google's ad tag. It may show you a Google forwarding number in place of our office number. A call to that number still reaches our office, and Google tells us whether the call lasted 60 seconds or more, so we can see which ads bring real calls. Calls to a forwarding number pass through Google's phone service, and Google may set its own cookies for this. Google handles that information under its Privacy Policy (see also how Google uses information from sites that use its services). We have turned off Google's ad personalization for this tag. Visitors who do not come from a Google ad do not load it, and we do not run any other third party advertising trackers on this site.
Our home page shows the Better Business Bureau's Accredited Business seal the way BBB provides it. The seal's picture loads from BBB's website, so BBB receives what any website receives when your browser loads a picture from it, such as your IP address and browser type. Clicking the seal opens our BBB Business Profile on bbb.org. BBB handles that information under its Privacy Policy.
How long we keep your information
We keep request, lead, and conversation records for as long as we need them for the purposes described in this policy and for reasonable business and recordkeeping needs, then we delete or anonymize them.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limits on who can access it. No website or method of transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take this seriously.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] or call (314) 840-5431 and we will help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Children's privacy
This website is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Other websites
Our site may link to websites we do not control, including the websites of manufacturers and partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will make the update clear on this page.
